Believing himself timid and useless, Ranmaru Kurisu leaves the country to live in Tokyo and attend Shichikoku University. His goal is to quietly get through school without standing out, but immediately he ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time and ruins a club’s filming scene. While they assess damages, he meets Ryuji Goda - leader of the university’s Art Squad. The squad specializes in visual arts, working behind the scenes to support the four film clubs on campus. Ryuji quickly discovers Ranmaru’s hidden talents and endeavors to recruit him.
