When Hime Kino was younger, she was inspired by Sakura Aoyama – a famous voice actress for a popular anime. Wanting to follow in her footsteps, Hime enrolls in Holly Academy High School. There, she meets Sakura’s son Senri Kudo but the two don’t get along for he has no interest in someone he can’t compete with. It turns out Hime’s voice is rough and gravelly, and she can’t vocalize in a feminine manner. After falling behind in classes, she makes friends with her fellow misfits and participates in a school competition. When she steps in to cover the male role, the school is in awe of her and she is scouted immediately. But she doesn’t want to be famous if she isn’t selected for her cute voice.
